I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of the blood plasma, in January of 2015. At the time, I had just turned 33, my daughter had recently turned one, and my husband and I had celebrated our third wedding anniversary several months before. Cancer, let alone an “old man cancer” as it was explained to me, was not in my life plan.

I started blogging as a way to keep family and friends updated on the status of my health. Writing about my safari (I don’t like the word journey, so I’m not on a journey – I’m on a trek through the fucking jungle) has proven to be quite therapeutic, and it has also reignited my passion for writing.

Read, enjoy, ask questions, laugh at my lame attempts at jokes and puns. Tell me your own lame ass jokes and puns. The best thing I can do now is laugh.
